Christina (Tunall) Blombeck was born in Mo, Gavleborg County on February 20, 1850,
to Jons Persjon and Katrina Jonsdotter. Her brothers are John Tunell and Peter Tunall, Sr. Yes, they did spell their surnames differently.

Swedish church documents show Christina's name spelled "Kristina".

Christina immigrated to the US with her parents and her brother Peter's daughter,
Katarina. They departed Hernebo, Skog Parish, Gaveleborg, Sweden for North America on
August 22, 1887. They departed Christiana, Norway on about September 1, 1887 on the
ship Thingvalla. They arrived in New York on September 16, 1887. They joined her brothers
John and Peter and the rest of Peter's family (who immigrated in 1882) at Marquette,
Hamilton County, Nebraska. Christina is listed on the Thingvalla passenger list as
Christine Person, travelling with Jons Person, Karen Person and Cathrine Person.

Oral family history suggests that John Tunell's wife Anna Katrina Wikstorm and their children,
Peter, Anna, Maria and John George, travelled with Jons and family.
However, Swedish church records show them departing Sweden on July 24, 1887, a
slightly earlier date. And, there does not appear to be any record of them travelling on the ship Thingvalla.

Christina and Alfred Blombeck married in Hamilton County, Nebraska on October 14, 1899.
Their witnesses were John Tunall and Peter Tunall. They were living in Wallace, Greeley
County, Nebraska at the time of the 1900 census. They were still in Greeley for the 1910
Census.
The 1920 census shows them living in Eagle Bend, Todd County, Minnesota and, shows
Alfred's 90 year old mother, Mary Blombeck, living with them. The 1920 census record also
shows that Alfred was born in Sweden and immigrated to the United States in 1874.

Christina and Alfred did not have any children.
