Anna Anderson Berggren was born in Gefle, Sweden in 1825, and died in Lusk, Wyoming, March 31st, 1917, aged 91 years, 5 months and 4 days.

At the age of sixteen she joined the Lutheran church of which she had since been a member.

In 1852 she was married to Zachariah Berggren. To their union six children were born, of whom two died in infancy. In 1872 her husband died, leaving her the care of her four children. In 1881 she came to Illinois with her children and in 1888 she arrived in Lusk where she continued to reside until the time of her death. In 1897 one of her daughters, Mrs. Lewis Lind, died at the age of thirty-two. *

She leaves to mourn her loss, three children, Mrs. Lewis Berggren and Mrs. Edward M. Arnold of Lusk, and a son, Andrew Berggren, whose present address is unknown. She is also survived by three sisters, two living in Sweden and one in Clarence, Mo., and by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

"Lewis Lind received word yesterday to the effect that his wife, who had been sent to Omaha some two or three weeks ago for medical treatment at the Methodist hospital, had died. An operation was performed on her a few days ago, but it seems she was too weak to stand it, and after a few days lingering, she expired. The remains will be brought to Lusk tomorrow and laid to rest in the Lusk cemetery. This is a sad affair and will be a hard blow to the husband and children. The entire community extends its sympathy to the bereaved relatives in this, their dark hour of sorrow."
